Registered in 2015, *Hosta* 'Yukon Gold' is a medium-sized cultivar derived from *Hosta* 'Fat Cat' (pod parent) with an unknown pollen parent. It is visually distinctive for its bright golden yellow leaves, which are broadly ovate with a cordate base and display flat, golden yellow margins against a green center.

In the Garden

This cultivar forms a mound-like clump reaching 20 inches (50.8 cm) in height and 24 inches (61.0 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, as is typical for hostas, and its bright foliage provides contrast when paired with darker-leaved perennials such as ferns or heucheras. Its medium size makes it suitable for mid-border positions or as a specimen in shaded beds.

Care Notes
