Hosta ‘Yucca Ducka Do’ is a registered cultivar () .

Year registered2000
Section classIV-4b

Overview

Registered in 2000, this small hosta cultivar is a hybrid of *Hosta* 'Minuta'. It is visually distinctive for its narrow, lance-shaped leaves of medium green with creamy white margins, and its notably fast growth rate for a small hosta.

In the Garden

With a mature spread of 30 inches (76 cm) and height of 16 inches (41 cm), 'Yucca Ducka Do' forms a dense, mounding clump suitable for the front of borders or as edging. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of hosta-growing zones. Its narrow leaves and compact habit make it an effective companion for ferns, heucheras, and small woodland perennials. The green scapes, reaching 24 to 28 inches (61 to 71 cm), bear lavender flowers in midsummer.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, it is susceptible to slug and deer damage; monitor and protect as needed.
