Registered in 2000, 'Twist of Fate' is a medium-sized hosta arising from a hybrid of *Hosta ventricosa*. The cultivar is visually distinguished by its blue-green leaves with slightly rippled margins, a glaucous bloom on both surfaces, and upright, cordate foliage.

'Twist of Fate' reaches a mature height of 24 inches (61.0 cm) and spreads to 30 inches (76.2 cm) in diameter, with an upright growth habit and moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hosta-growing zones, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials. Its medium size makes it suitable for border fronts, woodland gardens, or as a specimen in mixed containers.

Care Notes

Water regularly to maintain consistent soil moisture, especially during dry periods. Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. While slugs and deer may damage foliage, the glaucous bloom offers some resistance; monitor and manage as needed.
