Overview

Registered in 2010 as a sport of *Hosta* 'Purple Dwarf', 'Twist of Dwarf' is a miniature cultivar distinguished by its green leaves with white margins. The leaf margins are medium green and slightly rippled, measuring 0.3 to 0.6 cm wide, and this green margin characteristically lightens near the leaf center, sometimes following the vein inward.

In the Garden

'Twist of Dwarf' forms a compact, mound-like clump reaching approximately 17.8 cm (7 in) in height and 30.5 cm (12 in) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. It is well suited to partial shade, typical of hosta-growing zones, and its small stature makes it an excellent candidate for rock gardens, troughs, or the front of shaded borders. The white scapes, 30.5 to 40.6 cm (12 to 16 in) tall, provide vertical interest above the foliage.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture during dry periods; apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as growth emerges. As with most hostas, protection from slugs and deer may be necessary, particularly in shaded, moist conditions.
