Overview
Registered in 2006 as a sport of *Hosta* 'June', 'Terry Wogan' is a medium-sized cultivar distinguished by blue-green leaves with gold margins and a silvery green underside. The leaf surface exhibits a glaucous bloom on both sides, and the combination of color and translucency gives the foliage a distinctive, almost luminous appearance.
In the Garden
This cultivar forms a moderate-growing, mound-like clump reaching approximately 34 inches (86 cm) in diameter and 14 inches (35 cm) in height, with scapes rising 14 to 20 inches (35–50 cm). It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hostas, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials. Its medium size makes it suitable for border fronts, woodland gardens, or as a specimen in shaded beds.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture during dry periods; apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are advisable, as with most hostas.
