Registered in 1998, this sport of *Hosta* 'Tokudama' produces a large, upright mound of medium blue-green leaves with slightly rippled margins. The foliage exhibits a subtle sheen on the upper surface and a dull finish beneath, with cordate leaf bases and 16 pairs of veins.

'Hokey Smokey' reaches approximately 34 inches (86.4 cm) in diameter and 21 inches (53.3 cm) in height, with a slow growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for blue-leaved hostas, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade perennials. Its substantial size makes it suitable as a specimen or in the middle to back of a shaded border.

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, it is susceptible to slug and deer damage; monitor and manage as needed in typical hosta-growing zones.
