Overview
Registered in 1991 by P. Ruh, this miniature hosta is believed to be a hybrid of *Hosta* 'Lancifolia Aurea'. It forms a compact mound of green leaves with medium yellow margins, the leaf edges displaying small undulations that contribute to its fine-textured appearance.
In the Garden
Mature plants reach approximately 4 inches (10.2 cm) in height and 8 inches (20.3 cm) in diameter, with leaves 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) long and 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide. Suitable for part shade to shade, as typical for gold-margined hostas, it performs well in rock gardens, troughs, or the front of shaded borders. Its miniature size makes it an excellent candidate for container cultivation, where it can be paired with other small perennials such as *Heuchera* or miniature ferns.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture during the growing season; apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. As with most hostas, protect from deer and monitor for slug damage, particularly in damp conditions.
