Overview

A 2011 sport of *Hosta* 'Royal Standard', 'Royal Charmer' is a medium-sized cultivar distinguished by its clear white leaf margins that harmonize with pure white flowers. The ovate, slightly shiny leaves feature medium green centers with white streaking extending into the blade, creating a variegated effect on a fast-growing, mound-forming plant.

'Royal Charmer' forms a substantial mound 20.7 inches (52.6 cm) tall and 29.5 inches (74.9 cm) in diameter, making it suitable for mid-border positions in partial to full shade. Its fast growth rate and medium size allow it to serve as a groundcover or accent among ferns, *Heuchera*, and other shade perennials. The green scapes, reaching 20.4 to 27 inches (51.8 to 68.6 cm), carry the white flowers above the foliage.
