Overview
Registered in 1999, this large hosta cultivar resulted from a cross between *Hosta* 'Galaxy' (pod parent) and *Hosta* 'Elegans' (pollen parent). It is visually distinctive for its blue-green leaf centers framed by variable creamy white margins, with a dull upper surface and glaucous bloom beneath.
In the Garden
This upright-growing plant reaches approximately 18 inches (45.7 cm) in height and 33 inches (83.8 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for blue-green hostas, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade perennials that complement its broad, cordate-based leaves. Its substantial size makes it suitable as a specimen or mid-border accent in woodland gardens.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like many large-leaved hostas, it may be susceptible to slug damage and deer browsing in garden settings.
