H. ‘Rosedale Blend Master’

Overview

Registered in 2000 by Rosedale Gardens, this medium-sized hosta is a cross between *H.* 'RD-BS' and *H.* '721'. It is visually distinctive for its variegated foliage, with leaves that display streaked margins in a blend of colors.

In the Garden

'Hosta Rosedale Blend Master' reaches a mature size of approximately 12 to 18 inches in height and 24 to 30 inches in spread, suitable for mid-border positions or as a specimen in part-shade to shade gardens. Its medium size and variegated leaves pair well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials. It is not suited for container culture due to its medium stature.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry spells, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are advisable, as with most hostas, in typical hosta-growing zones.
