Overview

Registered in 1998, this medium-sized hosta cultivar is a hybrid of *Hosta* 'Sophistication'. It is visually distinctive for its green leaves with greenish-yellow, slightly rippled margins, combined with a very shiny underside and upright growth habit.

Reaching approximately 19 inches (48.3 cm) in height and 33 inches (83.8 cm) in diameter, 'My Fair Katie' forms an upright clump with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hostas, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials. Its medium size makes it suitable for border fronts or as a specimen in shaded beds.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are advisable, as with most hostas.
