Registered in 1998, this medium-sized cultivar is a hybrid of *Hosta* 'Galaxy'. It is visually distinctive for its dark green leaves heavily streaked with yellow, framed by wide, creamy white, slightly rippled margins, and for its notably glossy upper leaf surfaces.

In the Garden

With a mature spread of 32 inches (81.3 cm) and a height of 21 inches (53.3 cm), 'Lollapalooza' forms an upright, slow-growing clump suitable for partial to full shade in typical hosta-growing zones. Its bold variegation and glossy foliage make it an effective specimen or accent plant in the woodland garden or mixed border, where it pairs well with ferns and other shade-tolerant perennials.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. As with many hostas, this cultivar may be susceptible to slug damage and deer browsing.
