Overview

Registered in 2014, *Hosta* 'Laurentina' is a miniature cultivar derived from *Hosta* 'Galaxy' as the pod parent, with unknown pollen parentage. It is visually distinctive for its medium to dark green leaves streaked with chartreuse yellow and cream, edged with slightly rippled white margins, and for its unusual purple seed pods.

In the Garden

'Laurentina' reaches a mature diameter of approximately 12 inches (30 cm) and a height of 15 inches (38 cm), with an upright, moderate growth habit. It is well-suited to partial to full shade, as typical for hostas, and performs admirably in containers due to its miniature size. Companion plants include other small shade perennials such as *Heuchera* or *Tiarella*.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Slugs and deer may cause damage; monitor regularly and manage as needed in typical hosta-growing zones.
