Overview
Registered in 1997 by an unknown Lakeside breeder, this medium-sized hosta forms a fast-growing, mound-like clump 27 inches (68.6 cm) in diameter and 6 inches (15.2 cm) tall. Its distinguishing feature is a yellow-gold leaf center with a 0.75-inch (1.9 cm) wide, creamy white, heavily rippled margin, borne on a cordate leaf base with 7 to 8 vein pairs.
In the Garden
Suitable for partial to full shade in typical hosta-growing zones, this cultivar reaches a mature spread of 27 inches (68.6 cm) and a height of 6 inches (15.2 cm). Its medium size and fast growth rate make it appropriate for border fronts, rock gardens, or as a groundcover beneath deciduous trees. Companion plants include ferns, *Heuchera*, and other shade-tolerant perennials with contrasting foliage textures.
Care Notes
Water regularly to maintain consistent soil moisture, especially during dry periods. Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges; this cultivar is moderately resistant to slug damage but may require protection in high-humidity conditions. Deer may browse foliage in areas with high deer pressure.
