Overview
A small, mound-forming sport of *Hosta* 'Lakeside Meter Maid', registered in 2005. This cultivar is visually distinctive for its nearly round, very shiny yellow leaves with broad, flat, bright green margins and a fast growth rate.
In the Garden
Reaches a mature size of 22 inches (55.9 cm) in diameter and 9 inches (22.9 cm) in height, forming a dense, low mound. Best suited to partial to full shade in typical hosta-growing zones, where its bright leaf color holds well. Pairs effectively with finer-textured shade perennials such as ferns or *Heuchera*, and its small stature makes it an excellent candidate for troughs or container plantings.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, particularly during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Slugs may damage the shiny foliage; monitor and control as needed. Deer are known to browse hostas and may require protection.
