Overview

Registered in 1980 by V. Sellers, this medium-sized variegated hosta was produced from a cross between *Hosta plantaginea* (pod parent) and *H. 'Tokudama Aureonebulosa'* (pollen parent). It is visually distinctive for its green leaf margins and the influence of its *H. plantaginea* parentage.

Mature plants reach approximately 30 inches (76.2 cm) in height and 36 inches (91.4 cm) in diameter, making it suitable for mid-border positions in partial to full shade. Its medium size and variegated foliage pair well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials. The scape height is recorded as 36 inches (91.4 cm), though some sources note variability.

Care Notes

Water regularly during dry periods, particularly in the first growing season. Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, it is susceptible to slug and deer damage; monitor and manage accordingly. Performs best in typical hosta-growing zones with adequate moisture and organic soil.
