Overview

Registered in 2002 as a sport of *Hosta* 'Love Bug', 'Good Lovin' is a miniature cultivar distinguished by its green leaves with white margins and unstable creamy white streaking. The plant forms a small, upright mound reaching 5 inches (12.7 cm) in diameter and 12 inches (30.5 cm) in height, with ovate leaves measuring 2 inches (5.1 cm) long by 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) wide, each bearing six vein pairs and a flat, slightly shiny surface on both sides.

In the Garden

'Good Lovin' is best suited to partial shade, as is typical for hostas, and performs well in rock gardens, troughs, or the front of shaded borders due to its miniature stature and upright habit. Its small size makes it an excellent candidate for container cultivation, where the creamy white streaks and white margins are easily appreciated at close range. Companion plants might include small ferns, *Heuchera* cultivars, or other miniature hostas.

Care Notes

Water regularly to maintain consistent moisture, particularly during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. As with most hostas, slug and deer damage may occur and should be managed through standard control methods.
