Overview
Registered in 1990 by Kuk's Forest Nursery, 'Golden Tiers' is a miniature hosta of unknown parentage. It is distinguished by its small green leaves edged in light yellow-green margins, forming a compact, low mound.
In the Garden
'Golden Tiers' reaches a mature spread of 12 inches (30.5 cm) and a height of 5 inches (12.7 cm), making it suitable for the front of a border, rock gardens, or trough plantings. It performs best in partial to light shade and can be paired with other small perennials such as miniature ferns or *Heuchera* cultivars. Its diminutive size also makes it an excellent candidate for container culture.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, it may be browsed by deer and is susceptible to slug damage in damp conditions.
