Overview
A sport of *Hosta* 'Paul's Glory' registered in 2007, 'Glory Hallelujah' is a reverse-variegated large cultivar distinguished by a medium blue-green leaf center with broad, flat, yellow margins. The glaucous bloom on both leaf surfaces and the darker green center relative to *Hosta* 'Peter Ruh' are key identifying features.
In the Garden
'Glory Hallelujah' forms a substantial mound reaching 20 inches (50.8 cm) in height and 56 inches (142.2 cm) in diameter, with a medium to fast growth rate. It performs best in partial to dappled shade, where the yellow margins hold their color without scorching, and pairs well with ferns, astilbes, and other shade perennials. Its large size makes it suitable as a specimen or in the middle to back of a shaded border.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during establishment, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are advisable for this cultivar in typical hosta-growing zones.
