Registered in 2013 by the Foxfire hosta breeding program, 'Foxfire Destiny's Child' is a giant-sized cultivar distinguished by its large, glossy leaves with medium to dark green centers and wide, greenish-yellow margins. The leaf margins are variable in width, ranging from 1 to 2 inches (2.5 to 5.1 cm), and the leaf surface is notably shiny.

In the Garden

This cultivar reaches a mature spread of 48 inches (121.9 cm) and a height of 24 inches (61.0 cm), forming a dense, mound-like clump with a fast growth rate. It performs best in partial to dappled shade, as is typical for hostas, and its substantial foliage makes it suitable as a specimen plant or for use in mixed shade borders. The large leaf size and bold variegation pair well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are advisable, as both pests may damage the large, tender leaves.
