Registered in 2011 by an unknown breeder, 'Fountainhead' is a medium-sized hosta distinguished by its upright, domed habit and blue-green foliage. The nearly round leaves, with slightly rippled margins and a slight gloss on the upper surface, are notable for the leaf base overlapping the petiole, creating a distinctive visual effect.

'Fountainhead' reaches a mature spread of approximately 35 inches (89 cm) and a height of 24 inches (61 cm), with scapes extending 24 to 28 inches (61 to 71 cm). It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for blue-green hostas, and its moderate growth rate suits mixed perennial borders or woodland gardens. The upright form pairs well with ferns, heucheras, or other shade-tolerant groundcovers.

Care Notes
