Overview
Registered in 2005, this medium-sized sport of a stabilized seedling of unknown parentage is distinguished by its upright form and intense blue-green leaf centers with broad white margins. The leaves measure 10 inches (25.4 cm) long and 6 inches (15.2 cm) wide, with 10 vein pairs, and display a slightly shiny surface on both sides.
In the Garden
Reaching 24 inches (61.0 cm) in height and 30 inches (76.2 cm) in diameter, this slow-growing cultivar maintains a notably upright habit. It performs best in partial to full shade, where the blue-green center coloration persists well into mid-summer. The white scapes, 20 to 25 inches (50.8 to 63.5 cm) tall, provide vertical interest above the broadly ovate leaves with rounded to cordate bases.
Care Notes
Standard hosta cultivation practices apply: consistent moisture during the growing season and spring fertilization support healthy development. Typical slug and deer resistance is moderate, as with most blue-green hostas.
