Overview

Registered in 2009, *Hosta* 'Enterprise' is a sport of an unnamed parent, distinguished by its dark green leaves with creamy white margins. The foliage is elliptic with rounded bases, lightly wavy edges, and a dull surface on both sides, with the white center extending approximately 2 inches wide and the green margins flat.

In the Garden

This medium-sized cultivar forms a slow-growing, mound-like clump reaching 16 inches (40.6 cm) in height and 30 inches (76.2 cm) in diameter. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hostas, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, or other shade-tolerant perennials. Its compact habit makes it suitable for border fronts or woodland gardens, though its slow growth rate requires patience for full effect.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, 'Enterprise' is susceptible to slug and deer damage, so monitoring and protective measures may be necessary in areas with high pest pressure.
