Overview
Registered in 2009, 'Dream Catcher' is a medium-sized hosta of open-pollinated parentage, with *Hosta* 'William Lachman' as the pod parent. It is visually distinguished by its broadly ovate, dark green leaves with cream, slightly rippled margins, moderate cupping and folding, and light red scapes that rise above the mound.
In the Garden
'Dream Catcher' forms a mound-like clump reaching 20 inches (50.8 cm) in height and 42 inches (106.7 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of hosta-growing zones, where its cream-edged leaves maintain good color late into the season. The folded bracts and occasional leaf streaking add textural interest; it pairs well with ferns, heucheras, or other shade perennials.
Care Notes
Water regularly to establish and during dry periods; apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. As with most hostas, slug and deer damage may occur, though the slightly corrugated leaf surface offers some resistance.
