H. ‘Dew Drop’

Overview

Registered in 1988 by Walters Gardens, Inc., *Hosta* 'Dew Drop' is a small sport of *Hosta* 'Gold Drop'. It is distinguished by its dark green leaf centers with creamy white margins, forming a compact, mounded plant.

In the Garden

Reaching 8 inches (20.3 cm) in both height and spread, 'Dew Drop' is suited for the front of borders, rock gardens, or container culture. It performs best in partial to full shade and combines well with other small hostas, ferns, or shade-tolerant groundcovers. Its diminutive size makes it an excellent choice for troughs or small-scale woodland gardens.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, it is susceptible to slug and deer damage; monitor and manage as needed.
