Overview
Registered in 2013 as a sport of *Hosta* 'Praying Hands', 'Devil's Delight' is a small upright hosta distinguished by its lance-shaped, heavily rippled leaves with golden yellow margins and occasional gold streaks within the green blade. The leaf surface is slightly shiny on both sides, with a tapered base, moderate twisting, and deep folding.
In the Garden
Mature plants reach 18 inches (45.7 cm) in height and 14 inches (35.6 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. This cultivar performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hostas, and its upright habit makes it suitable for the front of borders, rock gardens, or containers. The golden margins and streaking provide contrast when paired with darker-leaved perennials such as ferns or *Heuchera*.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are recommended for typical hosta-growing zones.
