Registered in 2005, *Hosta* 'Dancing with the Stars' is a large, fast-growing cultivar of unknown pollen parentage, with *H.* 'Super Star' as the pod parent. It is visually distinctive for its broad, blue-green leaves with heavily rippled, pale yellow to greenish-yellow margins, which often display streaking in multiple shades of green and develop a white-backed appearance that catches light.

In the Garden

This cultivar reaches approximately 30 inches (76 cm) in diameter and 23 inches (58 cm) in height, with an upright, spreading habit suited to partial to full shade in typical hosta-growing zones. Its large, multicolored foliage provides strong contrast when paired with ferns, heucheras, or other fine-textured shade perennials. The fast growth rate makes it effective as a specimen or in mixed borders, though its size requires ample spacing.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, particularly during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are advisable, as with most large-leaved hostas.
