Registered in 2002 as a sport of *Hosta* 'Tiny Tears', 'Cookie Crumbs' is a miniature cultivar distinguished by its small, ovate leaves with pure white margins on a medium green center. The leaf margins are narrow, measuring approximately 0.1 inches (0.3 cm) wide, and slightly rippled, creating a crisp variegation on a venusta-type leaf form.

In the Garden

'Cookie Crumbs' reaches a mature spread of 16 inches (40.6 cm) and a height of 5 inches (12.7 cm), forming a dense, mound-like clump with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hostas, and is well-suited for rock gardens, troughs, or the front of shaded borders due to its miniature stature. Companion plants may include small ferns, heucheras, or other diminutive perennials that do not overwhelm its scale.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are advisable, as the tender foliage is susceptible to damage.
