Registered in 2000, 'Clifford's Comet' is a sport of *Hosta* 'Loyalist' that produces a compact, fast-growing mound. Its most distinctive feature is the white-speckled green leaf center bordered by a narrow, flat green margin, creating a variegated pattern unusual among small hostas.

In the Garden

This small cultivar reaches 12 inches (30.5 cm) in height and 24 inches (61.0 cm) in diameter, forming a dense, rounded mound. It performs best in partial to full shade and is well-suited for rock gardens, container plantings, or the front of shaded borders. Its compact size pairs effectively with small ferns, heucheras, or miniature epimediums.
