Overview
Registered in 2009 as a sport of *Hosta* 'Margie's Angel', 'Charlie's Angels' is a medium-sized cultivar distinguished by its blue-green leaves with golden yellow margins. The ovate leaves, measuring 7.5 inches long and 6 inches wide, feature 12 to 13 vein pairs, a dull upper surface, and a thin glaucous bloom beneath, with lightly wavy edges and a rounded base.
In the Garden
'Charlie's Angels' forms a mound-like clump reaching 15 inches in height and 30 inches in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for blue-leaved hostas, where the gold margins remain most vivid. This cultivar pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade perennials; its medium size makes it suitable for border fronts, woodland gardens, or shaded containers.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, 'Charlie's Angels' is susceptible to slug and deer damage, so protective measures may be necessary in areas where these pests are prevalent.
