Overview

Registered in 2000, 'Academy Celeborn' is a large hosta cultivar derived from a hybrid of *Hosta* 'Ginko Craig' seedling. It is distinguished by its medium blue-green leaves with slightly rippled margins, dull surfaces on both sides, and cordate leaf bases, forming a dense, mounding clump.

'Academy Celeborn' reaches a mature size of approximately 14 inches (35.6 cm) in height and 30 inches (76.2 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of most hostas, and is well-suited for woodland gardens, shaded borders, or as a groundcover beneath deciduous trees. Its large, blue-green foliage pairs effectively with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials.

Care Notes
