About This Hosta:
Maui Buttercups is a hybrid of H. 'August Moon' x H. 'Frances Williams'. The plants have very good sun tolerance and their thick leaves offer great resistance to slugs. We have noticed that new leaves are a little prone to spring sun burn, so when planting consider how much shade the plant will get in the spring when there are no leaves on trees that normally provide shade.
