About Us
Thanks for visiting our online Hosta catalog.. The Hosta Farm is a small 3 acre wooded farm nestled among large oak trees and mountain laurel in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia. We are a family owned and operated nursery with the mission of producing and providing our customers with high quality hostas at affordable prices. We have been growing Hostas and other perennials for over 25 years and have loved every minute of it. We are here to help you and love to share our gardening passion with our customers. About our plants
We grow and ship our plants using two different methods. Most of the Hosta plants we sale are grown in a 65mm Ellepot ™ which is a biodegradable pot that can be planted directly into the ground. The second method is field grown plants that are shipped bare root. All of our bare root plants are two year old, grade 1 plants. For more information on our plants sizes click here.
Shipping our plants
We charge a flat rate shipping fee of $10.95 regardless of how many plants your buy. We ship via UPS ground and do our very best to ship all orders out on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays to avoid having the plants sit in a truck over a weekend.
